They warned me that if I voted for John McCain our nation would be saddled with an idiot vice-president who not only said a bunch of stupid stuff but seemed to have no ability to stop saying stupid stuff.
sorry, rev: sometimes the facts aren't pretty...and are actually embarrassing to one side. what biden said isn't really arguable: a jobs bill will help stop the hemorrhaging of local police departments, and the repubs all stand against ANYTHING that obama proposes, at this point. (as in, not one republican voted for it, even the folks who've supported every single part of it in other contexts. shameful.)
where was it that they (briefly) said they'd have to decriminalize domestic abuse, because they lack the manpower to enforce that law? all these cuts are making us less safe. republicans are free to argue that they're necessary cuts, but they make us less safe. what did biden say that was wrong?
The bill's merits aside, the "I wish these people knew what it was like to have a 200-pound man standing over them telling them to submit" is borderline for an opinion columnist and pretty much out of bounds for a sitting VP.
fair enough: didn't know about that quote. still, he took SO much grief just for saying that crime will go up with all these cuts...and (that stupid-ass quote aside) that grief is unjustified. the louder eric cantor screams, the more you know someone is telling the truth.
