When your game strategy seems to include the idea that time of possession during a basketball game earns you points like riding time does in wrestling, you should perhaps be less willing to disgustedly bawl out one of your players for a defensive lapse. After all, you don't let them play defense that much and they may be a little rusty by the time the other team actually gets the ball back in its hands.
