This whole
article on a human brain-mapping project is pretty interesting, but I was particularly struck by the quote that closes the fourth paragraph:
“Think about it,” says neuroscientist Konrad Kording of Northwestern
University in Chicago, Illinois. “The human brain produces in 30 seconds
as much data as the Hubble Space Telescope has produced in its
lifetime.”
"As much data," yes. As much
useful data? Probably not. See Paris Hilton, Donald Trump, any
Survivor contestant or any person employed at either 1 1st Street or 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. for details.
