Bloom County creator Berke Breathed published his "April Fool's Joke" suggesting that Calvin and Hobbes cartoonist Bill Watterson had come out of retirement to collaborate with him in on a new strip.
It is, of course, not true. But even the one strip published to make the joke is awesome. This is how you win April Fool's Day:

I vastly prefer these kinds of gags to the things like buttered doorknobs or gags designed to "take the mick out of" a person (I guard what shreds of dignity I have as jealously as a cat. Well, a cat that isn't Bill, I guess)
It is awesome, isn't it? He did something similar last year but not as elaborate and not a full-color Sunday strip.
