Oops Again
I meant to post last week these two entries from the Are You There, God? It's Me, Generation X, where Jennifer shows her own kids enjoying the Aug. 21 eclipse and some pictures from the 1979 edition. The photos and memories make for some interesting contrasts and also show some intriguing similarities.

She says we won't know where any of us will be in 2024, when there's an effective-totality one where I am.
I will say: I sincerely hope I am still here (keeping my fingers crossed for continued financial survival of my employer) and that it's not cloudy/raining that April day.
The partial was cool and fun, I can only imagine how much cooler 99.7% will be.
Jen tends to be a bit metaphysical ;-)
I'm looking forward to hearing how the people I knew from the area handle the tourism influx -- the lake ought to be quite populated that day!
