From the days when our country still had enough of a common culture that a single novelty song could send a mid-level fad into a national craze. Even my aunt bought a CB radio. Let them truckers roll, C.W.
When I was driving a U-haul last month, I had my son play various truck driving songs, including "Convoy" which the young man added to his playlist. So I have heard Mr. Fries singing/talking several times in the recent weeks, and certainly will in times to come.
I was going to write a post about how this character, like Ernest P. Worrell, started out in local/regional advertisements before becoming a national phenomenon.
