Experimental Verification

Score!

So after yesterday's post exploring the difference between the 2003 movie Open Range and the 1990 novel The Open Range Men, AMC conveniently shows the movie, allowing me to study it in detail again. Somebody must have gone to church this week.

never read the book...but damn, was that a fine western movie. (i forgave costner for "the postman," after seeing "open range." which was not a little thing, believe you me.)

Never saw "The Postman." Read that book and the way it took a fascinating concept -- how even the simplest of institutions can start a move towards order -- and blew it made me uninterested in seeing it filmed.

"Open Range" was atonement for a bunch of cinematic sins ;-)
